There are many techniques to getting the main spar alligned exactly right. I used all of them plus a new one I think I came up with myself! Once I measured from bushing to nose on each side, and leveled, and water leveled, and shimmed, and putzed, and putzed, I was pretty sure everything was straight. I then ran a string from left wing bushing to right wing bushing with the thought that if everything else was set up correctly, the string should be parallel to the firewall. I measured a few spots and it was parallel. Good! Now time to take it all apart, apply structural adhesive and do it all again. AARGH!!!!!!!!!!!
